On this project we undertook the purchasing and removal of a York chiller from a roof top on St James Street in the heart of Mayfair. This job took place early on a Saturday morning when there is far less traffic and footfall which made it possible for a walk way and partial road closure to take place. When we arrived on site we suited up in our PPE and after completing a full site induction we made our way up to the roof. This chiller was bolted down to AV feet which we unbolted from the base of the chiller so that it could be lifted freely and safely loaded on to our flat bed, we unbolted the flanges so that it was free from any connecting pipework, the company that we purchased this chiller from were kind enough to have the electrics disconnected prior to our arrival which was greatly appreciated. This was a contract lift so we didn’t have to sling the chiller or use our in-house banksman. Once the chiller was safely loaded, we made a bank transfer payment to our client before us or the chiller left site.
